Showing off his boo boos to his big sister...shots from the 18 month wellness appointment. I was brave this time around and decided to do both kids at once, so Katherine had her 5 year checkup at the same time. Luckily we had already done the horror that was kindergarten shots last year so all Katherine had to deal with was the flu mist, which she took with no problem this time thanks to a wonderful nurse who asked her if she wanted to "sniff the strawberries". By the time she figured things out it was over. Overall the appointment was a breeze...it is nice to finally be at a place where trips to the doctor, while not something I look forward to, are now longer a major stress session for everyone involved. Teddy is holding is own at the 30th percentile for weight, and the 75th for height and head circumference. Although I would take the height/length measurement as an approximation because the kid was not thrilled with laying down for that measurement and the nurse had to do the best that she could.
In other medical news, I got stung by a bee on Saturday on our way out of Katherine's soccer game. Katherine was all sympathy..."See, we shouldn't have been here!" Translation, I've told you how much I don't like soccer, yet you still make me go. Four more games, four more games... And that bee sting swelled up my hand so much that I was at the doctor's office yesterday for a cortizone shot. Fun times all around!
