We're halfway through the week already! Although for Katherine, Saturday can't get here soon enough. Papa and Gram Meagher are arriving with her bicycle. She had a preview of it in May and forgot about it somewhat when we arrived back home from the trip. Then a couple of weeks ago we were in Wal-mart and she spotted the bikes. To quelch the insistance the we go take a look at them I stupidly said "Papa and Gram are bring your bike down in a few weeks." Need to know, people, need to know. Since then we've had almost daily questions and reminders about when Papa and Gram are showing up with that bike. This past weekend it took on a whole intensity. We had an absolute meltdown in Dick's Sporting Goods over a bike that she wanted to take home. She actually took a nap on Sunday and when she awoke the first thing she did was look out her window to see if Papa and Gram were here. She'll tell any stranger that comes up to her that..."PapaGram bringing my bike!" Last night she declared, after looking out the window, "I don't know when PapaGram are coming!" Clearly, she's letting us know that she's being as patient as a two year old can be but c'mon people!
I was neglectful in putting up a Father's Day post. We had originally planned on meeting with Ted's parents (aka...PapaGram Coberly) and his Grandma for a Father's Day brunch. But due to illness (on their side, not ours!) those plans were cancelled. We'll see them over the Fourth (incidently, is Fawn Lake doing their bike parade? There will be a very enthusiastic partipant this year!). As you read from Ted's post, it turned into a busy day of installation. I sat down to do a post late Sunday but I was just too tired. However, I think a cute Ted and Miss K post is owed.
Yesterday morning the poor thing got a raisin stuck up her nose. She started sneezing as she was having her raisin bran (yup, the kid likes raisin bran) and I guess one just went up and over. She kept sticking her finger up her nose, which we were detering but she wouldn't stop. I went in for a closer look and oh my God, you sure do have a big snot up there! So, I did what any good parent would have done and put my pinky to use. Next thing a knew, I was pulling a nice plump raisin! No wonder she was poking at her nose, that could not have felt too good! Just another day at the ranch!

No news of the bike parade yet, the first announcement was about the buffet and fireworks. Hopefully there will be none of mother nature's fireworks like last year.
I gotta stop reading this blog at lunch.
Haha- I used a tweezer to remove a broken ear bud from my HUSBAND's ear yesterday. I'll consider that practice.... :-)
