Decking the halls

Katherine and I set right to work after we arrived home on Monday setting up the Christmas tree. She got quite a kick out of the whole thing. I think the challenge this year won't be keeping her away from the tree, it will be keep her from UNDER the tree:I loved laying under the Christmas tree myself when I was a kid, so I know the fascination. For the last two evenings, we went over to the light the tree first thing when we got home. Her whole face lights right up as soon as the tree is on. I love watching her discover this whole time of year, there's nothing like seeing Christmas through the eyes of a little one.

Small things make me really happy. Katherine was dry this evening and used the potty! Maybe we are moving forward once again!

Christmas and potty training in the same post. Man, this blog is a work of beauty.

Isn't it awesome? I too loved laying beneath the tree, looking up at all the lights. It is a thing only kids can do, but that won't stop me from doing it this year too with my own daughter. I am so jealous you are already set up for the holiday!
