Beth had Friday off and used the day to relax and run some errands. This weekend was North Carolina's tax free weekend but we didn't bother. It's only really helpful if your going to spend a couple hundred dollars or more.
I did my weekend long run on Saturday morning. 10 miles at just under 11 min average pace. I didnt feel particularly good during the run and my pace really dropped off for the last two miles. I dont run as well in the morning as I do in the afternoon, but it's too hot and humid so its better to get up early and get it over with. I'm also getting to the point when I need to start looking at my calorie intake while I run. My run lasted 1 hour 49 min and I probably burned about 1200 calories. I think to help avoid crashing at the end I need to bring along something to eat and my gatorade bottle.
Katherine is still hiding at bedtime. She thinks its so funny to run into her room and then duck behind the curtains or under her crib. After a few minutes we can usually grab her and put her to bed. We do have to wait for her to fall asleep before we can take her shoes off. She always wants to have shoes on and will want to change her pair a couple times a day.

I've been exploring the blog a bit more and enjoyed the map with the locations of frequent visitors. You can't help but notice the two hotspots in western MA and northern VA. With the grandparents on the road this summer, I'm curious if the map will reflect this.
